How to Become a CAVEWAS Member (through VRA)

CAVEWAS is a specialized society within VRA Canada as a society offering education, training, mentorship, and opportunities to individuals who specifically work in the vocational assessment and evaluation field. Professionals with designations such as RVP, CCVE/ICVE, and CVRP-TSA align with CAVEWAS for designation and CEU specific supports.

You do not join CAVEWAS separately first—you join through the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada.

To become a member of CAVEWAS, follow these simple steps:

1. Join VRA Canada

  • Go to the VRA Canada registration page and apply for membership.
  • Choose your membership category:
    • Student
    • Associate (most common starting point)
    • Professional (if you already hold a designation)

2. Select CAVEWAS during registration

  • While registering, you simply indicate that you want to be part of CAVEWAS.

3. That’s it — you’re in CAVEWAS

  • CAVEWAS membership is included at no extra cost with VRA membership.
  • Your membership category (student, associate, professional) will match your VRA status.
